Farmers Employees donate to Brookville Volunteer Fire Company...


The employees of The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton recently donated $435 to the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company (BVFC). Employees of the Bank raised money for this donation through their Community Jeans Day program.

Accepting the donation on behalf of the BVFC was Fire Chief Jim Lipuma and members Dick Booser, Tracy Zents, Valerie Zents and Katie Zents.  Representing The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton was Stephanie Burford, Branch Manager of the Brookville Office and Cheri Wonderling, Head Teller of the Brookville Office.

Brookville VFD Donations resized 600The BVFC is dispatched throughout Jefferson County from the location of the firehouse at 240 Madison Avenue Brookville Borough.  The BVFC is the only fire station in the borough of Brookville and has sole responsibility of providing fire protection to its 4,600 residents.  Additionally, the BVFD hosts community events throughout the year such as Community Days, Easter Egg Hunt, Haunted Hay Ride and more.

Community Jeans Day is a bank-wide employee program that benefits local organizations within the Bank’s footprint.  Employees of the Bank are encouraged to donate each month and in return, are permitted to wear jeans on Fridays.  All money raised goes back into the community through gifting to local, non-profit organizations.


Hilfiger joins Farmers as Branch Manager...


The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton announced that Kyle A. Hilfiger has been named Branch Manager of the Bon Aire and Meridian offices in Butler, Pennsylvania.

In this position, Mr. Hilfiger will be responsible for managing theHilfiger_Farmers National Bank daily operations of the full-service banking offices, developing and expanding customer relationships and overseeing the delivery of high quality service.  Prior to joining Farmers National Bank, Hilfiger has seven years of experience managing a large retail store.  Hilfiger earned a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration degree from Pennsylvania State University.

Mr. Hilfiger resides in Butler County, Pennsylvania with his family.

Farmers donates $26,700 to A-C Valley High School...


AC Valley School District and Farmers BankThe Farmers National Bank of Emlenton recently donated $26,700 to the Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School to cover the full cost of a new scoreboard located at the high school playing field.  The Bank will have its logo placed along the bottom of the sign.

Accepting the donation on behalf of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School was David McDeavitt, Superintendent, and Emily Foust, Business Manager.  Representing The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton was William C. Marsh, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Cindy Elder, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of the Emlenton Office.  

“We are happy to continue supporting the local high school in the community of our headquarters. We have enjoyed a long relationship with A-C Valley and look forward to many more years of working together” said Marsh.

The high school playing field is utilized for many functions including football, track and cross country.  The A-C Valley Youth Football team also plays on this field.  The Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District’s mission is to provide quality education and create a learning environment that engages all students in lifelong learning for an ever changing world.

Farmers Donates $15,000 to Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department...


Trevor Hile Bruce Campbell Barry Louise William Marsh(2) resized 600The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton recently donated $15,000 to the Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department.  This donation will help support the costs incurred while expanding the current fire station located at 410 Main Street in Emlenton. 

The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton partnered with the Fire Department to increase safety, by providing a larger area to house additional emergency vehicles.  “We are thankful to have such a dedicated group of individuals protecting our town,” said William C. Marsh, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton. “The Bank is dedicated to supporting projects intended to help the local community and we appreciate the long-standing relationship that we have with the department .”

Accepting the donation on behalf of the Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department was Chief, Barry Louise and firefighters, Bruce Campbell and Trevor Hile.  Representing the Farmers National Bank of Emlenton was Mr. Marsh.

The Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department has been serving and protecting Emlenton and the surrounding areas since 1877, responding to fire and medical calls, search and rescue operations, public safety concerns, and more.  The Department continues to stay involved in all community activities and remains the center for many civic projects.

He also is a partner of Varischetti Holdings, LP, a family-owned and operated organization consisting of several different businesses, including real estate investments, powder metal manufacturing and an oil and gas field services company, as well as a member of Varischetti Sports, LLC, which owns a minority interest in the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Arc, established in 1966, is a volunteer based, non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and development disorders. Accepting the donation on behalf of The Arc was Michelle Battaglia, Arc Adult Program Services Director of the Recreation and Respite Club. Farmers Increases Internal Minimum Wage...


Farmers National Bank of EmlentonThe Farmers National Bank of Emlenton will increase the minimum hourly wage its pays employees to $10.50 per hour beginning September 1, 2014.  This hourly wage rate represents an increase over the current lowest pay rate offered by the bank and is 45% higher than the federal minimum wage rate of $7.25 per hour as mandated by the United States Department of Labor.

Butler Bankers Outing Donates $5,000 to Connecting2Tomorrow, Inc...


C2T Photo1 resized 600On behalf of the Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau’s Inaugural Butler County Bankers Open Golf Tournament, $5,000 was recently donated to Connecting2Tomorrow, Inc., a Butler County based non-profit organization.

The Butler County Bankers Open Golf Tournament was held at the Lake Arthur Country Club in Butler, PA and was attended by local bankers and guests.  Each foursome selected a charitable organization located in Butler County, to whom a donation would be presented on behalf of the winning team.  The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton won the tournament with golfers Joshua Fye, Robert Foust, Matthew Lucco and Sean Foust.  “We chose Connecting2Tomorrow, Inc. as the recipient of the funds” noted Lucco, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Farmers National Bank of Emlenton. “We support their mission of providing mentoring services which enable youth in the Butler area to develop and utilize skill sets to build a better future for our community and for themselves.”

The Moniteau Area Food Pantry reaches out to the community to provide food and assistance to people in need. Accepting the donation on behalf of the Moniteau Area Food Pantry was Cynthia Morrison, Food Pantry Administrator.
