The employees of The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton recently donated $435 to the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company (BVFC). Employees of the Bank raised money for this donation through their Community Jeans Day program.
Accepting the donation on behalf of the BVFC was Fire Chief Jim Lipuma and members Dick Booser, Tracy Zents, Valerie Zents and Katie Zents. Representing The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton was Stephanie Burford, Branch Manager of the Brookville Office and Cheri Wonderling, Head Teller of the Brookville Office.
The BVFC is dispatched throughout Jefferson County from the location of the firehouse at 240 Madison Avenue Brookville Borough. The BVFC is the only fire station in the borough of Brookville and has sole responsibility of providing fire protection to its 4,600 residents. Additionally, the BVFD hosts community events throughout the year such as Community Days, Easter Egg Hunt, Haunted Hay Ride and more.
Community Jeans Day is a bank-wide employee program that benefits local organizations within the Bank’s footprint. Employees of the Bank are encouraged to donate each month and in return, are permitted to wear jeans on Fridays. All money raised goes back into the community through gifting to local, non-profit organizations.
