Emlenton, Pennsylvania, September 11, 2019 – Employees of The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton recently donated over $2,000 to local non-profit organizations with donations gathered through the Community Jeans Day program.
The following organizations were selected as recipients of the employee donations: Caring Cupboard (Knox), Hancock County 4-H (Chester, WV), Community Services of Venango County Food Pantry (Seneca), and The Arc of Jefferson and Clearfield Counties (DuBois).
Community Jeans Day is an employee program that spans bank-wide and benefits local organizations within the Bank’s footprint. Employees of the Bank are encouraged to donate each month and in return, are permitted to wear jeans on Fridays. Since the start of the program in late 2012, employees have raised over $42,000 that goes back into the community through gifting to local, non-profit organizations.
About Caring Cupboard: The Caring Cupboard strives to provide assistance to area families who are struggling financially and need a little assistance in providing food for their families.
