Emlenton, Pennsylvania, January 22, 2019 – Employees of The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton recently donated $4,200 to local non-profit organizations with donations gathered through the Community Jeans Day program.

The following organizations received donations during November and December of 2018: Charitable Deeds (Clarion County), Mars Youth Home (Butler County), Brookville Area Food Pantry (Jefferson County), DuBois Food Pantry (Clearfield County), Reynoldsville Food Pantry (Jefferson County), The Salvation Army (Venango County), and The Pennsylvania Bankers Public Affairs Committee (PaBPAC).

Community Jeans Day is an employee program that spans bank-wide and benefits local organizations within the Bank’s footprint. Employees of the Bank are encouraged to donate each month and in return, are permitted to wear jeans on Fridays. All money raised goes back into the community through gifting to local, non-profit organizations.  Since the start of the program in late 2012, employees have raised over $32,000.
