Emlenton, Pennsylvania, October 19, 2018 – The employees of The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton recently donated $500 to St. Mary’s Area School District Foundation and $500 to the Clarion-Limestone Family Friendship Bags program. Employees of the Bank raised money for these donations through their Community Jeans Day program.
Community Jeans Day is an employee program that spans bank-wide and benefits local organizations within the Bank’s footprint. Employees of the Bank are encouraged to donate each month and in return, are permitted to wear jeans on Fridays. All money raised goes back into the community through gifting to local, non-profit organizations.
Accepting the donation on behalf of St. Mary’s Area School District Foundation were Dr. Brian Toth, Superintendent, and Rick Schatz, President of the Education Foundation Board. Representing Farmers National Bank was Barb Donahue, Branch Manager of the St. Marys Office.
Melinda White, Branch Manager of the Bank’s Clarion and East Brady Offices, presented the donation to the Clarion-Limestone Family Friendship Bag program committee which includes Mike Bertoni, Holly Hetrick, Ali Girt, Crystal Jewell, Abby Simpson, and Tricia Parker (not pictured).

About Clarion-Limestone Family Friendship Bags program: Family Friendship Bags are organized by the Clarion Limestone PTO and serves students in grades K-6. The program provides food for students to take home each weekend and currently supports approximately 112 families.
